Abstract

The size of web is increasing day by day. People depend on search engines to find information on web. Now it is a challenge for search engines to provide relevant information to its users in minimum time. To provide relevant information search engines mainly depends on page ranking algorithms. In this paper a new context based page ranking algorithm has been proposed. The algorithm uses some popular context sense generator techniques such as thesaurus, word net and ontology. The proposed algorithm uses the context sense of the pages stored in the repository and also the context of the user query to improve the relevancy of the search results.
