Abstract
Value chain analysis is a very important tool in determining the maximum possible value a company can offer to their customers. There are many ways by which values are added in every phase for a product transforming from raw material to the final product till it reaches the customers. There are many agents who help in value addition of that product during its transformation from raw material to its consumption. The study for this paper was carried out in a local biscuit industry at Jorhat, Assam. Various agents involved, from manufacturing to sales, are identified with the help of value chain mapping in order to determine the role of each actors and their relation between them. Reviews were also taken from the customers to find out factors and ranking them as per the response of the customers. Among these factors emphasis must be given to increase the value of the product.
